I’ll be back..

•Tuesday 1 January 2008 • Leave a Comment

Yes folks its the start of the new year, and its also time for me to go into training grounds. Again.

What kind of training you ask?

Its “soul training”. See if I can achieve BAN-KAI. The ultimate state of soul training.

Have you watched the movie “I am Legend”? A lot of people said that its crap, sux and ending is so sudden.

To me, its a wonderful piece of soul art. Maybe because I’m a life artist, see life different from the others.. Only those who experienced loneliness, knows how it feels like to be in Will Smith’s situation. The only human left in this world (or so that’s what he believed in).

Remembered when I was in SIM days, me and my pal A, his nickname is 空虚 and mine is 寂寞..

在这世上,最可怕的莫过于空虚与寂寞。

Back to the movie, this is how I view it:

Since Will Smith has lost his family, lost his dog, found a cure, there’s no more reason for him to live on. He has completed what he’d lived for.. I guess even if he survived the zombies, he himself will become a walking zombie without any meaning in his life. 死,可以轻如鸿毛,也可以重如泰山He chose the later. To me, he is already a hero combating both the zombies outside, and the zombie in his heart caused by loneliness at the same time!

Currently my pal A is living happily with his gal, I pray for his happiness, although I do not really pray. The names, 空虚寂寞,就让我一人来承担吧。

See you soon.

A: Hey why is this cupboard with confidential documents left unlocked?

B: Oh Miss forgetful last used it and forgot to lock it I guess..

A: In that case I will lock it after I keep some stuffs in, to be safe.

B: Oh no don’t lock it, Miss forgetful might not be happy if you do that. I’m not sure if she still needs to use the cupboard..

A: But its all confidential materials in there! I can’t leave them unlocked! Besides I’m the person with last touch. If anything happens I am answerable you know?

B: Oh Miss forgetful might not be happy if you do that.. I’m..

A: Miss forgetful! Do you still have any use of the cupboard? If not I shall lock it!

Miss Forgetful: I forgot to lock it again! Please lock if for me thanks!

A: (in thoughts) That B is a fucking idiot.. I wonder if her husband forgets to flush the toilet after shitting, will she be so scared to flush for him and leave the shit overnight.. And if her husband tries to leave the gas on to kill her, will she be so scared shit and not off the gas.. I also wonder what’s the difference between foolish, stupidity and idiotic..

A silly ad..

3 DaYS Managing Human Behaviour In Driving

OBJECTIVES

Research has shown that passing a practical driving test or course is not sufficient for a driver to be safe for life. Driver attitude and behaviour are known to be major contributors to road traffic collisions. Drivers hold distorted cognitions about their driving skills; believe they are less likely to be involved in an accident compared with their peers and may not consider they are at risk or need to change their driver behaviour. Driving instructors often know little about how to manage these ‘human factors’ in driving – hence the development of this workshop.

This 3 days workshop will help individual to understand the principles of the Driver Risk Index™ and develop techniques to influence driver behaviour and attitudes.

KEY TOPICS

To maximise driver trainer effectiveness by transferring driver coaching skills

· To introduce the psychological principles behind driver education and assessment of driver risk · To facilitate the effective coaching using the principles of behavioural change, learning styles and communication skills

· To understand the driver coaching process and demonstrate that understanding in the use of a structured Coaching Goals Plan

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Senior Management, Safety managers, Operation Manager, Human Resource Managers, Supervisors or Safety Officers with responsibilities for implementing occupational health and safety management systems in the company.

Fear is there for you to overcome. (concentrate on your goals and fear will disappear)

Went for a short break in Nov with D and 2 other friends, this beach resort has a nice clean looking pool which we decided to take a swim.

We didn’t know that the swimming pool there is an area which is 3m deep. The gals all stayed away from the deep side as they were not very well versed in their swimming. As being out in the seas for almost 4 years for ECA in my secondary school days, the 3m deep pool didn’t really bother me. However when I swam over and realised that my feet are unable to touch the pool floor, i panicked. I did not realise that my secondary school days were X years back, and I have not been in the water for that long! Fear rushed into my mind. I was sinking quick.

Theory of scarcity (food – for thought)

•Friday 30 November 2007 • Leave a Comment

The delighting sight of colourful sushi plates floating round and round on the conveyor belt in a Japanese restaurant.

The sumptuous smell of fresh bread in a bakery, all lined up to lure consumers to pick them up and put them onto their plates.

These are just 2 of the common stuffs we come across every now and then.

Did anyone think of this: What happens to the food that are not sold at the end of the day?

According to reliable sources, they are THROWN AWAY!

Does that means that due to a higher standard of living, there will be abundance food supply for all, people start to WASTE FOOD without a blink of eye? Have they even thought of, even though we are in a more affluent society, there are still people starving and making their daily ends met?

Is there a way to savage this situation, for eg. give the food to charities or homes, I’m sure they will be more then glad to accept it.

Hope humans really cherish what they hold in their hands, before its too late.

Theory of scarcity

“Which photo is most precious to you?”

Nope I’m not asking “which is your favourite photo?” Its a totally different question.

It suddenly occurred to me that, since the evolution of digital cameras and camera phones, people don’t take photos as they used to. In the past, where photos are being developed as hard copies, cost around 20¢ – 50¢ per piece. That’s a hefty sum to pay if you are developing a whole stack of photos! But now since photos can be stored digitally, no hard copies are necessary for you to view your photos, hence “storage / viewing cost” for your photos are practically zero! Which brings to the fact that you can have a crazy number of photos at no costs! And since there are no hard copies, you do not need those bulky albums and a closet to store them.

The ease and zero costs spawn a new era of photo collections. Now back to the above question. Which photo is most precious to you? Do you still carry a photo in your wallet like people used to, or would you rather have lots of junk photos in your mobile phone?

My theory of scarcity states that:

I feel happiest when..

•Wednesday 21 November 2007 • Leave a Comment

This is the question asked by the book “The Happiness Plan”.

What makes you feel happy?

For me, it must be to be able to sleep till wake up naturally, no matter how late it is, there will not be a rush which follows awakening..

Simple things make me happy.

Do you know how to be happy? Happiness is there for you to see an seek. Do you know what’s the name of your happiness? Call out its name and it will come to you. Make friend with your happiness, and it will stay by your side. :)

Hey folks reading this, can we share what makes us happy? :)
